The payroll module groups salary calculation, pay outputs, and the configuration accountants need—employee data, company rules, and system parameters—so each run builds on the same controlled setup.
What it offers. Under the payroll menu you typically work with salary calculation for periodic runs, bulk salary slip sending when many employees need payslips in one go, company configuration for organisation-specific payroll settings, and employee data used in calculations. System settings hold parameters that apply across payroll (for example regulatory or periodic rules configured for your deployment). Some environments also expose bank accounts used for contributions or related payments—often limited to designated administrators.
How to use it. Maintain master data and company rules before you lock a period; run calculation when inputs are complete; use bulk slip sending when your process calls for mass distribution. Treat system and company configuration as the foundation so later months reuse the same definitions instead of ad-hoc spreadsheets.
Time saved. Fewer manual handoffs between “setup” and “run”, less re-keying of employee and rate data, and clearer traceability when finance or auditors ask how a figure was produced.
Note. Payroll appears when your organisation has the payroll capability enabled and your role includes access. Individual screens (including advanced configuration or bank-account maintenance) may not be visible to every user—your administrator can confirm what you see.
