Employee contract linked documents

Added

From an existing employee contract you can create a linked document — usually an annex. The linked document stays tied to its main contract in the system, gets a readable secondary number (e.g. 1032‑1, 1032‑2), and the contract list clearly shows which parent document it belongs to. Button and field names match the language you use (the names here are from the English localization).

Preparation note: add screenshots/GIF before publishing — the "Create linked document" button on the list, the popup with the parent banner, and the list showing the full number (1032‑1) and its parent.

1. Open the employee's contracts

  1. Open the employee profile, then the Contracts page (the list of all that employee's contracts and documents).
  2. The list shows every existing contract — each with its number and key details.
  3. Don't see the page or the buttons? Working with contracts requires the right permission — contact your company administrator.

2. Start creating a linked document

  1. On the row of the contract you're annexing, click Create linked document.
  2. The creation window opens. The top of the window clearly states which document you're linking the new one to (the parent's full number) — make sure it's the right contract before you continue.
Need a standalone (unlinked) contract? Use the usual Create contract button — that window has no parent banner and the document won't be linked.

3. Fill in and save

  1. Choose the contract type and fill in the remaining fields (dates, etc.) as for a regular contract. An annex uses one of the existing contract types.
  2. Confirm creation. A success message appears and the window closes.
  3. The new document immediately gets a secondary number that builds on its parent — the first linked one is ‑1, the next ‑2, and so on.

4. Multiple levels of linking (annex of an annex)

  1. A linked document can itself have linked documents. On the annex row (e.g. 1032‑1), click Create linked document again.
  2. The new document continues the chain — e.g. 1032‑1‑1 — for as many levels as you need.

5. The contract list view

  1. A linked document in the list shows its full number (e.g. 1032‑1) and, right next to it, which parent document it belongs to.
  2. Standalone (unlinked) contracts show only their own number, with no parent.
So you always know at a glance which annex goes with which contract — no manual tracking.
