Construction daily log

Added

Keep a daily record for a project — date, weather, temperature, number of workers, work performed and notes. You can sort the list, search the text fields, filter by a date range, and export what you see to PDF. Labels follow your UI language; this page uses the English product strings.

Animated overview of the construction daily log flow, from opening the tab to exporting the PDF
The whole flow at a glance (loops); each step below explains one part.

1. Open the Construction log

In the left menu, under the ADM tab (if shown), open Projects and select a project to open its details. The project opens with a row of tabs.

Project tabs with the Construction log tab and a toolbar holding Add entry and Export PDF
① open the Construction log tab · ② add an entry · ③ export to PDF
  1. Open the Construction log tab.
  2. Click Add entry to create a new daily record.
  3. Click Export PDF to download the list (see section 5).

2. Add a daily entry

New daily-log entry form: date, weather, temperature, workers, work performed and notes, with Save and Cancel
① date · ② weather · ③ temperature · ④ workers · ⑤ work performed · ⑥ notes · ⑦ save
  1. Pick the Date for the entry.
  2. Enter the Weather (short free text).
  3. Enter the Temperature.
  4. Check the Workers count. It is pre-filled from the people assigned to the project for that day — change it if needed.
  5. Describe the Work performed.
  6. Add any Notes.
  7. Click Save.
Only one entry is allowed per day per project. If the day already has an entry, you will see An entry for that day already exists. — pick another day or edit the existing entry.

3. Sort, edit and delete in the list

Daily-log list with sortable column headers and per-row edit and delete actions
① click a column header to sort · ② edit a row · ③ delete a row
  1. Click any column header — Date, Weather, Temperature, Workers, Work performed or Notes — to sort by it; click again to reverse the order.
  2. Use the edit (pencil) action on a row to change its values.
  3. Use the delete (trash) action on a row, then confirm in the dialog to remove it.
When editing, the Date stays fixed — to log a different day, add a new entry instead.

4. Search and filter by date range

Filter bar with text search, From and To date pickers, Clear filters and the result count
① search text · ②–③ pick a date range · ④ clear filters
  1. Type in the search box to narrow the list as you type. It searches Weather, Work performed and Notes.
  2. Pick a From date to show entries on or after it.
  3. Pick a To date to show entries on or before it.
  4. Click Clear filters to reset the search and dates.
A small counter shows how many entries are visible out of the total (for example 12 of 30).

5. Export to PDF

Export PDF button exporting the currently filtered list
① export the current (filtered) list to PDF
  1. Click Export PDF to download the entries currently shown.
The PDF contains exactly the rows on screen — it respects the search and date-range filters. The button is disabled when the filtered list is empty.
